UYFC Announces 24 Scholarships for Video Game Production Skills Development

PHNOM PENH: The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) has announced 24 scholarships focused on capacity building in the field of digital entertainment arts, including video game development skills, under the auspices of the University of Phnom Penh and Western Iowa Tech University Community College.

There are two courses on offer, The Digital Entertainment Arts course, which lasts for 4 weeks, and the Reflection and Practice course, which lasts for 3 weeks. These courses will be taught in English and will provide an overview of video game development, an introduction to 3D drawing, a description of how to create interesting works of art, a study of light and movement, and the basics of operating a gaming machine.

Candidates eligible for this training course must be between 18 and 28 years old, have some knowledge related to using video game development software, and must be able to speak and write English well. After the organizers select the candidates to participate in this training, their team will contact the scholarship winners to provide further information.
